Shocking! Delhi man rapes niece for four years on pretext of curing 'Manglik dosh'; arrested

In another shameful and heinous act, a man repeatedly raped his niece for around five years under the pretext of treating her Manglik Dosh. The 23-year-old woman was told by her uncle that she has a mangal dosh and if it was not cured her father would die, police said.

The accused committed the heinous crime regularly during the period for about four years. The man called the woman even after her marriage. After which she decided to bring the matter to the notice of her father-in-law, police said.

The father-in-law of the woman took her to Narela Police Station and registered an FIR against the accused uncle on September 13. "The accused is the paternal uncle of the victim who was arrested the same day of the FIR," police said.

The police contacted the Delhi Commission for Women to provide counselling to the victim.
