Where innocent has been lynched for in the name of 'gau Raksha', in the national capital around 48 cows are announced dead. Earlier reports show 36 cows were found dead. In a cow shelter to around 1,400 cows in Delhi's Dwarka's Chhawla area, 36 were shockingly found dead on Friday.

Preliminary investigations show that the cows died due to "some disease". "A team of six veterinary doctors reached the gaushala and are conducting an enquiry into the cause of death," police officials said to PTI.

The cowshed named 'Acharya Sushil' was reportedly flooded with rainwater and a worker claimed that they tried their best to save cows but no doctor was available in the area. "The water motor hasn't been working for the past 2 days. No one listens to us. We try to do our best but no doctor is available for the cows," a worker at the cowshed told ANI.

As per early reports, police suspects that the cows died because of an outbreak of some kind of infectious disease. Meanwhile, doctors are investigating the gaushala to ascertain the cause of death of the cows. Reports add that the police were alerted about the incident at around 12:30 pm.

According to a report by PTI, the deaths happened because of the outbreak of some kind of disease. A team of doctors arrived at the spot. The Delhi Police said: “Doctors are conducting an inquiry into the cause of death. They’ll also conduct a postmortem of all the dead cows. Once their report is submitted, further legal action will be taken.”
