Rewari Gang-rape Case: Main accused in CBSE Topper gang-rape case is a serving Army personnel, claims Haryana Police

The Haryana Police have traced the main accused in Haryana CBSE topper gang-rape case. The main accused in Rewari rape case is currently serving army personnel, posted in Rajasthan. The Haryana DGP BS Sandhu told media that the police are putting efforts to issue an arrest warrant against the accused. He added that the remaining two accused will be nabbed soon.

"Main accused is a serving defence personnel stationed in Rajasthan. We are getting a warrant against him," Director General of Police (DGP) BS Sandhu said in a statement. The Haryana Police have announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for anyone who tips the information about the accused.


“Medical report confirms rape. We've made multiple teams to nab the accused. I appeal to the people to give us any information they've regarding the case&have announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for those who help us in cracking the case,” said Nuh SP Naazneen Bhasin on Rewari gangrape case.

As per reports, the victim's conditions are stable. According to the Medical Superintendent of Rewari district hospital, Sudarshan Panwar, the victim is recovering from the trauma. Her X-ray and ultrasound reports have come out normal. "We will continue to review the victim's condition regularly," Said Panwar.

A 19-year-old CBSE Board exam topper was allegedly kidnapped by the group of three men while on her was to coaching. The accused thrashed her and gang-raped her on September 12. The matter came into light after the victim's parents filed a complaint with the police on September 14.
