Rajasthan: 5 men allegedly gangraped woman in Pali district; films act, upload it on social media

In a shameful act, a 30-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by five men in Rajasthan’s Pali district. The accused allegedly gang-raped married woman and recorded the ill act on a mobile phone. The accused than uploaded the video on social media that went viral.

The woman filed a complaint with police station alleging that she was raped by five men on May 26. As per the complained filed by the woman, the incident took place when she was on way to a temple with a friend. According to PTI reports, four out of five accused have been arrested on Monday.


The police registered a case against the five accused on Sunday for gangrape, wrongful restraint, thrashing and molestation and other relevant sections of the IPC, Industrial Area police station in-charge Kishor Singh Bhati said. 

Bhati said acting on the complaint four accused Jitendra Bhaat, 20, Govind Bhaat, 20, Dinesh Bhaat, 24 and Mahendra Bhaat, 22 were arrested on Monday whereas the fifth accused Sanjay Bhaat is missing.

The accused will be presented before a court after interrogation. The woman has been sent for medical examination, Mr Bhati said. The woman's husband works as a labourer.
