Pulwama Attack: Rajnath Singh lends shoulder to mortal remains of a CRPF soldier in wreath laying ceremony

After a deadly attack in Pulwama which killed 40 CRPF soldiers, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbagh Singh have lend a shoulder for the mortal remains of a CRPF soldier.

While attending the wreath laying ceremony of soldiers in Budgam, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Governor Satya Pal Malik and Army's Northern Command chief Lt Gen Ranbir Singh payed tribute to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the dastardly attack in Pulwama.


Earlier, 40 CRPF jawans were martyred while a convoy of the security forces was hit by a car which was carrying around 350 kg of explosives. The cavalcade of the CRPF was moving from Jammu to Kashmir via National Highway where 78 vehicles were carrying 2,547 personnel.

Now, Rajnath Singh along with Satya Pal Malik are holding meet with officials of the state to discuss the situation of law and order and future action after the attack fallout.

PM Narendra Modi condemned the attack and issued warnings to the terrorists and Pakistan for their coward attack on the security forces.

PM Modi said, “Conspirators of Pulwama attack will be punished, our neighbouring country has forgotten that this is a new India. Pakistan is going through an economic crisis; Pakistan is roaming around with its begging bowl but it’s not getting help from the world.”

Curfew has been imposed in Jammu at Bus Stand, Nawabad,Bakshi Nagar,Peer Mitha, Pacca Danga, Channi Himmat,Janipur, Domana, and Bagh-E-Bahu areas, while the internet services have been stalled in the region.
