Priyanka in Lucknow: ‘I am coming’ Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s message ahead of mega roadshow in Uttar Pradesh

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress’ newly appointed General Secretary of eastern Uttar Pradesh will touch the land of Lucknow today. Priyanka is a big hope for the party in the make-or-break state of Uttar Pradesh ahead of Lok Sabha polls. Ahead of Priyanka’s mega roadshow, a phone message popped up from Priyanka Gandhi saying ‘Lucknow, I am coming.’

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s entry in politics was announced by her elder brother Rahul Gandhi as the AICC general secretary in-charge of eastern Uttar Pradesh two weeks ago. Priyanka said that she hopes to "start a new kind of politics in which everyone - even the weakest - will be a stakeholder".


"I am coming tomorrow to Lucknow to meet all of you. I have hope in my heart that together we will start a new kind of politics, a politics in which all of you will be stakeholders -- my young friends, my sisters and even the weakest person, all their voices will be heard," Priyanka Gandhi is heard saying in the audio message shared through the Congress's Shakti App and phone calls to voters.

"Come, let's build a new future, new politics with me. Thank you," she said.

Priyanka Gandhi will be accompanied by Jyotiraditya Scindia for the roadshow in Lucknow today on their first trip to the state after being appointed the Congress general secretary in-charge of eastern and western UP respectively.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, in his message, said: "Tomorrow I am coming to be with you. The youth of Uttar Pradesh need a roadmap for the future and the state needs change."

"Come, join us and bring change to Uttar Pradesh," he said.

Huge banners and poster of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been placed on the roads of Lucknow by the party workers on the eve of mega rally.
