The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an infiltration bid on 3 December after they shot dead an intruder at the Dhinda post in Pathankot.

Times Now reported that three to four intruders from Pakistan attempted to cross the border last night. The intruders were shot dead when the BSF opened fired after spotting them.

The police said that 250 security personnel including the SWAT were deployed in search of the intruders after a local resident claimed to have seen armed men in the border district of Punjab.

Terrorists attacked Pathankot air base on the intervening night of 1-2 January this year, claiming the lives of seven security personnel.
