Seventeen people were killed and around 33 were left injured when a luxury bus rammed into two cars and then fell into a ditch on the Pune-Mumbai corridor expressway on 5 June.
The deceased include 13 males and four females. Nineteen people are said to be critically injured.

The incident occurred when a man driving a Swift Desire stopped to change a punctured tyre. Another man, travelling in an Innova, parked his car in order to help him. Tragedy struck when a bus coming from Satara collided with both the cars before falling into a 20-foot ditch on the left side of the road.
The injured were immediately rushed to the MGM hospital in Panvel.
