Pakistan: At least five killed after unidentified assailants target Shia gathering in Karachi

At least five people were killed and many others were left injured after some unidentified assailants opened fire on a religious gathering in Nazimabad area of Karachi.

According to media reports, the attackers on bike opened fire on people outside an Imambargah.

The incident happened when people were coming out of the Imambargah after prayers and majlis (religious congregation).

The gunmen came on two bikes and fled the scene after attack.

The injured have been transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Rangers and police have reached the area and started investigation.

Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and has ordered for a swift probe.
