As the sidelined BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha is all set to join the Congress, the actor-turned politician has taken a dig at PM Narendra Modi in a series of tweets while adding new prefix, ‘Honble outgoing Sirji.’

Soon after the Congress announced its manifesto for 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Sinha posted his tweets which were directed at the speeches of PM Modi where he claimed that they are now “lacking in content and depth” and have become “highly repetitive and irritating.”

Sinha tweeted, “Honble outgoing Sirji. Why are you wasting so much money on different channels and on the paid and choreographed crowd who chant your name at any given time - during, before & after your speeches on the signal of the conductors.

Your rhetorics/speeches lack content and depth.”

Sinha further added, while sharpening his attack, “these days and have gone to the extent of becoming highly repetitive and irritating. Sirji, I still remain your well wisher despite your EVM misuse and in-spite of all your arrogance. My humble suggestion for you at this eleventh hour would be to become straight and go straight.”

Sinha, who is set to join the Congress this week, will be contesting from Patna Sahib as per media reports. Earlier, the BJP had fielded Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad from the Patna Sahib constituency.

Taking a jibe at PM Modi and his extensive distance from the press conference, Sinha asked the PM to take tough questions and ‘go for the press who are not sycophants.’
