National Herald case: To restrain BJP's Subramanian Swamy from posting derogatory tweets, Delhi court fixes 17 Nov for final order
Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Saturday reserved its order in a plea filed by senior Congress leader Motilal Vora and has fixed 17th November for an order regarding the plea.
The plea was related to the National Herald case, which involves Congress scion and president Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. The case pertains to stop senior BJP leader and MP Subramanian Swamy from posting derogatory tweets regarding the National Herald issue as the matter is still sub-judice and a final decision is yet to come.
The rest part of submission of evidence by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy will also be recorded on the same date, as per sources.
ANI had tweeted that “Delhi's Patiala House Court has fixed 17th November for order on plea of Motilal Vora, rest part of submission of evidence by Subramanian Swamy will be recorded on the same date.”
Earlier, Motilal Vora approached the Delhi’s Patiala House Court seeking to refrain Subramanian Swamy from sharing the information and details of the National Herald case on Twitter and other social media sites.
Subramanian Swmay later on criticized Congress leader Motilal Vohra for wasting court’s time by filing frivolous plea in the National Herald case and demanded a swift judgement in the case.

The infamous National Herald case involves the Indian National Congress, granting an interest free loan of Rs 90.25 crore to Associated Journals Limited (AJL). Associated Journals Limited is the owner of the National Herald newspaper which was established by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1938.
The prime accused in the case are UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress party president Rahul Gandhi as they major shareholders in the Associated Journals Limited.
