Mumbai: Massive fire breaks out in godowns at Acchar Gali in Mumbra in Thane; fire extinguishing operation underway

Massive fire breaks out in godowns at Acchar Gali in Mumbra in Mumbai's Thane. Fire extinguishing operation underway. A total of 3-5 godowns were gutted in fire at Acchar Gali, near Sagar Hotel in Mumbra.

Cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. More details are awaited. Many people were rescued from the site. Two fire engines and 2 water tankers were sent to the spot and firefighting operations are underway.


The fire also broke out at the Krishi Bhawan in the national capital. According to reports, the fire broke out on the second floor of Krishi Bhawan, a senior official from the Delhi Fire Service said.

At least five fire tenders were rushed to the spot after the call was received at 1.45 PM, he added.
