Most dreaded terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Abu Dujana had a nine-minute conversation with a Indian army officer before being shot dead.

Dujana was killed during an encounter and had refused to surrender before army officials.

According to NDTV's report, Dujana is heard telling the officer minutes before he was gunned down, “Kabhi hum aage aap peechhe, kabhi aap aage hum peechhe, aaj aapne pakad liya, mubarak ho aapko (sometimes I am ahead, sometimes you are ahead. Today you have caught me, congratulations).”

Dujana was first spotted by J&K policemen before being indulged in firing. The policemen spotted him in village where he used to visit for meeting his many women friends.

During the phone call conversation, Dujana said, “My ma-baap (parents) died the day I left them.”

While promising for help, the officer urged slain terrorist to surrender and said, "But you are not dead to them. You surrender, I will help you."

He presses on: "Unless you come out and explain to people, there will be blood-letting. Who will persuade these people? Unless you speak up, Kashmiris will keep getting killed..."

"I didn't start the bloodshed...I know the whole game," the terrorist returns. This is not Jihad, urged the officer.

After that, Dujana disconnected the line, saying, "Achha theek hai yaar (ok then)."

Over a year later, Dujana was killed on Tuesday in an encounter at Hakripora, Pulwama.

Though a manhunt was launched to track him down, Dujana not only eluded the security agencies, but also went on to plan and execute more high-profile attacks, one of them on the Entrepreneurial Development Institute, again near Pampore.
