MJ Akbar #MeToo row: Mayawati-led BSP says BJP govt has been exposed; called it 'insensitive' for not asking minister to resign

After BJP came under severe criticism and attack by the journalists and activists due to sexual harassment charges against Union Minister MJ Akbar, mow the BSP has come out in open, while attacking the government at center and maintaining a stand with the victims.

The official statement of the BSP said “In this whole #MJAkbar episode the anti-women face of the BJP Government has been exposed. By not asking the minister to resign, BJP is being arrogant and insensitive.”


 

Amidst the #MeToo movement, around 14 women journalists have accused Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar, who now has sought a legal way to deal with the allegations. He has filed a defamation case against a woman journalist who accused him sexual misconduct.
