Today, the fate of Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections will be out. Both the states are BJP ruling states from 2014 and it will have to see what will be BJP's fate in the states in 2019 assembly elections. Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections are the first state elections after a majority win of Narendra Modi in 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Around 50 by-polls seats results also included with Maharashtra and Haryana election results. The by-poll includes 51 assembly seats and 2 Lok Sabha constituencies across 18 states. The results are also very important for congress because the party is fighting for their survival after a humiliating defeat in the Lok Sabha polls.

These results will show how the internal crisis of the party could impact their existence. If BJP repeats its win over both states Maharashtra and Haryana then it would be the first time then the party will be winning the second term in either of the states. Both the seats have seen congress rule for long terms. BJP has won these states earlier also but they have not got the chance to repeat their terms.

Apart from the crisis, Congress is also very closely looking for the results to see what they have grown after the defeat in Lok Sabha elections. It will be a long time after Sonia Gandhi has taken the interim president position after Rahul Gandhi resigned from the post, all because of humongous defeat in Lok Sabha elections.
