Speed News Desk | Updated on: 29 August 2017, 8:38 IST

Five coaches and engine of Nagpur Mumbai Duronto Express derailed on 29 August near the Titwala station, a small town in Maharashtra's Kalyan. This is the third derailment in the last 10 days.

While there are reports that some passengers have sustained injured, casualties in the accident can't be confirmed yet.

A rescue team has already rushed from Kalyan. The incident took place at around 06:40 am.

On August 25, a local train running on Mumbai's Harbour line had derailed, while it was returning to the Mahim platform.

Saving the first four coaches, a technical fault caused the derailment of coaches six, seven, eight, and nine.

Five-six persons sustained minor injuries, but no case of casualties or major injuries were recorded in that accident.
