Madhya Pradesh: Four killed, two injured after wall collapse due to refrigerator compressor blast in Gwalior

Four killed, two injured after wall collapse due to refrigerator compressor blast in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior. As per reports, a couple and their two daughters were killed in the blast, leaving five others injured after a neighbour's wall collapsed on their house. The incident took place in Darpan Colony in Gwalior district on Friday late night.

The deceased were identfied as Anantram Parihar, his wife Uma and their daughters Khusi and Kasish. Reports suggest, nine people were sleeping inside the house when the horrific incident took place.


Anantram was a cook at a private college. As soon as the blast took place, neighbours informed the cops and rescue team rushed to the spot. Five people, including Anantram's son, was managed to be rescued safely and alive by 3 am.

Following primary observations, police say, it seems explosion of neighbour's fridge led to this mishap. People in the house where fridge exploded are safe, reported TOI. Refrigerator engineers are being consulted to identify the cause of the explosion. The case has been registered for further investigation.
