DMK promises to release all 7 killers of Rajiv Gandhi in poll manifesto

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has announced its poll manifesto today and have made a controversial promise to release all seven killers of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

The promise has been made after MK Stalin, the DMK president released the party manifesto in Chennai and also assured to provide citizenship to Sri Lankan refugees.


The manifesto further added that “A separate budget for agriculture. Insist on linking of South Indian rivers. Party will urge Centre for abolition of toll on national highways. Cauvery Delta will become a protected agricultural zone.”

Other major announcement include, “IT exemption limit should be hiked to Rs 8 lakh. Performance and equity should be the basis of Central fund allocation to States. 60 % of Centre's total tax revenue should be shared with the States.”
