Lok Sabha 2019: Superstar Rajinikanth refuses to contest upcoming election; says, 'will not support any party'

In a major announcement ahead of the polls, superstar Rajnikanth has said in a statement that he will not contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and will also not support any party.

As the General Elections countdown begins, the politics of alliance and new outfit has begun but being seen as one of the most anticipated entry, Rajnikanth has given a shocker to the people of Tamil Nadu.


Rajnikanth, in a statement said, “I am not supporting anyone. No party should use my picture or outfit's logo.”

The 68-year-old actor, who is soon to be expected to join active politics, further added that he would be focusing on the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, which are scheduled to be held later this year.
