The key plotter of the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and six others have been sentenced to life in the 2006 Aurangabad Arms haul case.

The special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court on 28 July had convicted Abu Jundal and 11 others in the above-mentioned case.

Among the 22 accused was Lashkar-e-Taiba operative and 26/11 terror attack mastermind Sayed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal.

The arrests were made on 8 May 2006, when the Maharashtra ATS team tracked down a Tata Sumo and an Indica on Chandwad-Manmad highway near Aurangabad. The team arrested three terror suspects and seized 30kg of RDX, 10 AK-47 assault rifles, and 3,200 bullets.
