Kumbh 2019: Massive fire breaks out at a Digambar Akhada camp at Kumbh Mela; 2 cylinders blast reported
As Kumbh 2019 starts, a massive fire breaks out at in the Kumbh Mela held in Sangam Nagar, Prayagraj and also catches Digambar Akhara camp. The fire broke out at Kumbh Mela on Monday.
According to TV reports, the fire broke after cylinder blast in one of the tents at Digambar Akhara near Digambar Ghat and quickly spread to other tents. Fire brigades and police were rushed to the spot to douse the fire and carry out rescue operations.

"Fire has been contained and the area is being cleared now. There has been no loss of life or injuries," SP Security said.
Fire fighting operations underway at a camp of Digambar Akhada at Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj after a cylinder blast. No loss of life or injuries reported.
A team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was also at the site.

The fire at the Ardh Kumbh Mela had engulfed multiple tents, TV visuals showed. An evacuation is reported to be underway. The Kumbh Mela is slated to begin from tomorrow.
