The Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Saturday raised the issue of alleged assault on two Kashmiri youth by a mob in Haryana, and demanded a reply from the state government.

Two Kashmiri students, enrolled in Central University of Haryana, were allegedly beaten up by a group of 15 to 20 people in Mahendergarh on Friday.

The students were being followed when they left the mosque after offering Namaz.

Haryana Police took cognizance of the incident and lodged an FIR after Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti called for an investigation into the incident and strict action against the perpetrators.
