Kapil Sharma moves Bombay High Court against demolition of Versova property

Comedian Kapil Sharma, on 17 October, moved the Bombay High Court against the Mumbai Civic body's notice to demolish his Versova office.

Last month, Sharma had tweeted out to Prime minister Narendra Modi, asking 'Yeh hain aapke achhe din?' after he was allegedly asked for a bribe of Rs 5 lakh by civic officials to regularise the construction of his office space in Mumbai.

While many lauded Kapil Sharma for his tweet about the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the officials disclosed the number of illegal constructions he had carried out at his Andheri/Versova bungalow. It seems the anchor had made unauthorised additions to his flat in a high-rise at Oshiwara as well.

Soon, Sharma was flooded with cases against him for illegal construction. In the process, he was presented a bill for the demolition of the unauthorised Versova structure.
