Journalist Pushp Sharma arrested for 'fake' report of AYUSH min denying jobs to Muslims

Journalist Pushp Sharma, who wrote a report in March claiming that the AYUSH ministry in an RTI reply told that it denied jobs to muslim has been arrested by Delhi Police.

Sharma was arrested for allegedly "fabricating" the RTI reply in which the AYUSH Ministry is supposed to have said that it does not recruit Muslims for jobs, reported The Times of India.

Pushp Sharma sought reply from AYUSH Ministry on the number of Muslim yoga teachers and trainers hired for foreign assignments during the first World Yoga Day on June 21 2015.

The report was published in the Milli Gazette issue of March 16-31 and Sharma who still stands on his claims said that the RTI reply is indeed from the ministry.

Sharma was earlier innterrogated by the Kotla Mubarakpur police and the RTI replies were sent for forensic analysis.
