JEE Mains 2016 results declared by CBSE! Check your JEE All India Rank at jeemain.nic.in for admission to IITs

JEE Mains 2016 results are out! The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results at 5 pm today on the official website. Finally, candidates can log on to jeemain.nic.in. to check their results, 

The All India Rank (AIR) list will be declared in another two days.

The fate of more than 12 lakh candidates will be decided today.

To check the results, candidates need to follow these steps:

1. Visit jeemains.nic.in2. Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth (dd/mm/yyyy format). Click on submit3. Score of Paper I will be displayed on the screen JEE Main 2016 offline exam was held on 3 April while the online exam was held 10 and 11 April.

As news of declaration of results spread across the web, some candidates took to FB groups, posting their roll numbers, requesting others to check their results. Several candidates were unable to access the website  due to high traffic.

JEE Main answer keys / sheets were already declared on 18 April. 

Only the top 1.5 lakh candidates will be shortlisted for JEE Advanced 2016 for admission to the 18 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian School of Mines (ISM).

JEE Advanced 2016, to be held on 22 May, will be conducted by IIT Guwahati, under guidance from the Joint Admission Board (JAB).

JEE Main scores are used for admissions in BTech and BE programmes at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

Registration JEE Advanced will commence on 29 April (10 am) with the results of JEE Advanced will be be declared on 12 June.
