Jammu and Kashmir: Three Special Police Officers, who were kidnapped by terrorists found dead in south Kashmir's Shopian

The Three Special Police Officers (SPO) and and a Police Constable were kidnapped by terrorists in South Kashmir's Shopian Thursday night. On Friday, body of Three Special Police Officers were found in Shopian. The bullet ridden bodies of the three officers were found in Shopian near their village.

The terrorists barged into the houses of four policemen - three of them Special Police Officers - in Kapran village and dragged them out, said the police. however, one of them was freed with the "help of villagers", home ministry officials said to media.


The terrorists have allegedly warned the policemen and asked them to resign, say police sources. "Terrorist are under pressure as they are not able to execute anything big. Protest politics and stone-pelting has come down. So they are taking out their frustration by targeting policemen in their houses," said a home ministry official.
