J&K: 3 BSF jawans killed after suspected Hizbul militants open fire

Three Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were reportedly killed when their convoy was allegedly attacked by terrorists in Bijbehara area of Jammu and Kashmir on 3 June.

According to various media reports, the attack has left five jawans injured out of which three succumbed to their injuries.

According to a report in NDTV, Hizbul Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The terrorists, who were travelling in a car, were stopped at a check-post, and as the BSF convoy passed the check-post, terrorists opened fire resulting in the causalities.

The BSF has cordoned-off the area and launched a massive combing operation to track down the militants in the area.
