J&K: One militant killed as another infiltration bid is foiled near LoC
One militant was killed by the army on 7 August in yet another foiled infiltration bid near the Line of Control (LoC) in Naugam sector of Kashmir.
"One militant has been killed during an infiltration bid. It was foiled by alert soldiers in Naugam sector in Kupwara district," an army official said.
He said the operation continued till reports last came in.
This is the second infiltration bid foiled by the army this month.
One militant was killed on 1 August as the army foiled an infiltration bid near the Line of Control in Naugam sector of Kashmir.
Earlier, four militants were killed and one was apprehended in an anti-infiltration operation on 26 July followed by another operation on 30 July, in which two militants and two soldiers were killed.
