IRCTC Offer: This Diwali, Chhath Puja book online general tickets from 1st November only at irctc.co.in
A good news for the train passengers who are facing trouble while buying the tickets for the general compartment, then, Indian Railways has come up with an excellent idea for the traveller. As the festival season in the country has already begun and many e-commerce sites are providing the special sale offer for the customers who love to do the shopping online.
As Diwali and Chhath puja is going to arrive next month, therefore, Indian Railways has announced a new facility for its commuters. According to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Indian Railways is likely to start the facility to book the general tickets online through UTS app or at utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in or irctc.co.in.
However, this facility will begin from 1st November 2018, before Diwali festival.
There are also the reports as the Indian Railways will also run additional festive special trains to clear the rush of the passengers in the trains.
Meanwhile, the passengers who are travelling in the general category can book their tickets, book tickets against cancellation and check the train status and timings through online mode.
According to the senior Railway official told reporters that commuters may buy tickets through Railways UTS mobile app and get the unreserved seats. However, IRCTC’s new facility will be available nationwide from 1st November 2018.
