Independence Day 2018: ALERT! Terrorist attack suspected in Delhi; man wearing IAF uniform spotted at Connaught Place

Ahead of 72nd Independence day, a high alert has been released after a Delhi Police got an input that a suspected terrorist spotted wearing an Indian Air Force uniform. According to the reports of TOI, the man was posed like an IAF officer and was roaming around the streets of Connaught Place.

A manhunt has been launched to trace the man who was spotted near the Rajiv Chowk Metro Station on Sunday evening. Reportedly, a retired IAF officer has spotted the suspect wearing the IAF uniform along with sports shoes at around 5:30 pm on Sunday. Because of his uniform, he has been considered as a suspect because the way he wore the uniform, normally which the force personnel would never do. The retired officer alarmed the Police but before Police caught him, the suspect ran away from the spot.


As Independence Day approaching, the security in the capital has been increased. However, security personnel are already on alert because of the inputs of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist have entered in the capital. As per the reports, an older also told that they could be posing as plumbers or electricians. The security forces have been deployed near Red Fort and Police have also examined all the pipelines and electric meters of the houses located around the Red Fort.
