A court in Hisar, Haryana today held that the self-styled godman Rampal is found guilty in two murder cases, the quantum of punsihment will be prounounced tomorrow.

Ahead of the court’s decision, Section 144 has been imposed in Haryana’s Hisar district to prevent any disruption of law.

The court will be pronouncing its verdict in two cases in which Rampal is charged with murder. The first case involves the death of a woman at Rampal's Satlok Ashram.

In the second case, four women and a child had died when thousands of followers of Rampal had clashed with police when they had come to arrest him following directions of the Punjab and Haryana high court after contempt of court.

The self-styled godman Rampal was arrested on November 19, 2014 on charges of murder, attempt to murder, conspiracy, holding illegal weapons and abetting suicide.

The border of Hisar has been blocked since last two days in order to prevent entry of Rampal’s supporters and to avoid the repeat of stampede and violence seen last year in the case of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, when the supporters went riot after his conviction in the rape case.

Meanwhile, anticipating violence, the Haryana police yesterday held a flag march in various parts of Hisar. Thousands of Rampal's supprters, followers are expected to arrive in the district today.

Reportedly, trains from various other states to Hisar have also been stopped or route has been diverted.

For security measures, 1300 police officers from Hisar and 700 from other districts have been deployed. Five companies of RAF, 12 Superintendent of Police, Haryana Police and DSPs of other districts have been put on duty.
