Gurgaon now officially Gurugram; resemblance to Instagram coincidental

Residents of Gurgaon will now have to gear up to their city being called "Gurugram".
According to PTR reports, the Haryana Government has decided to change the name of Gurgaon district to Gurugram and Mewat district to Nuh.
The concerning authorities decided to take this step as Gurgaon has been the land of the Bhagwat Gita and has remained a 'hub of learning' since the times of Guru Dronacharya.
Back in 2012, the municipal councilors of Gurgaon had proposed to change the name and had even formed a committee to address the matter. Seems like the proposal is being officially executed.
Thus, Gurgaon becomes the first city in the state whose name will be changed.
