In medical inhuman brutality, a full-term pregnant woman was forced to deliver baby standing upright. The incident took place in Gujarat’s Jalota Primary Health Centre in Banaskantha district.
According to the report, a pregnant woman named Ram Ben Gautambhai Thakor reached the Jalota Primary Health Centre with her mother-in-law on March 22, a day after Rangpanchmi. She was in labour pain.
Instead of providing her medical facilities and taking her to the labour room, the nurse asked her to stand by holding the iron mesh.
According to Dainik Bhaskar reports, Rami Ben gave birth standing upright. The baby fell on the floor. Not only this, the health centre staff used the pregnant woman's sari to clean her blood on the floor after the delivery, alleged family. According to the family, they did not get any medical assistance at the healthcare centre.
A number of pregnant women were made to go through a similar ordeal during their delivery, reports claimed further. However, the healthcare centre management denied the allegations. A doctor named Monica Patel at the Jawlotta Health Center said, "The hospital does not practice any such thing."
