E-challan Online: Here’s how to check unpaid traffic challan online

Speed News Desk | Updated on: 14 December 2019, 14:34 IST

If you have violated any traffic rules or unaware of your pending traffic challans then we have brought a way that will help you without going to the RTO office. Since the amendment of the Motor Vehicles Act (MVA), which came into effect from September 1, 2019, traffic police have levied hefty fines on traffic rules violators.

Under the motor vehicle act, people have received challans for not wearing a helmet, for overspeeding, dangerous parking, jumping red lights, incomplete vehicle papers, etc. After breaking rules, many people have issued e-challan and also informed about the same via SMS, includes time, date and location of the offense.

While in some cases, people haven’t received SMS for traffic rules violation then it doesn’t mean that the vehicle owner hasn’t pending challan.

There are several reasons why a vehicle’s owner didn’t receive the challan, it might be the reason that the owners have changed their mobile number, which is yet to be updated or others.

To check your unpaid e-challan without court’s intervention then we would like to advise you in an easy way that will help you in checking if any e-challan has been issued against your vehicle or not.
