Delhi: Weird! Infuriated boyfriend kidnaps girlfriend's father after he rejects his marriage proposal; what he did not is crazy

In a bizarre incident, a 24-year-old man kidnapped his girlfriend's father, who turned down his request to marry his daughter to him. According to reports, the man identified as Sanju was tracked down by the Delhi police and was arrested in Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.

The police rescued the girl's father from Sonepat in Haryana where he was held captive by the accused. According to reports, the accused Sanju and his friends three friends abducted the girl's father on Sunday from Delhi’s Dwarka area. The boys then made him call girl and convince her daughter to marry him.

On the call, he forced him to say Sanju "is a good boy" while advising her to marry him. On the call, the father managed to reveal his location, where he was kept captive by the boy and his friends.

"Sanju was arrested on Monday night from Mathura with the help of technical surveillance after a team headed by ACP Rajinder Singh Yadav and Inspector Sanjay Kumar rescued the victim," Deputy Commissioner of Police Anto Alphonse said.

"The daughter told investigators that she knew Sanju and suspected he could have kidnapped her father. The police teams tracked the locations of the mobile numbers from where calls had been made to the girl in Baraut, Meerut and finally Mathura," the officer said.

When interrogated, Sanju disclosed that he wanted to marry the man’s daughter but he denied. and had also shifted his daughter to their native place.

"Sanju borrowed a car from a friend and joined three friends to execute his crime. A hunt is on to nab his friends," the officer added.
