Shame! Uber driver abuses woman journalist; says,' sit on my lap if you're feeling hot'
In yet another incident over verbal harassment in Delhi, a driver of cab aggregator Uber has misbehaved with a woman while spilling vulgar comments at her.
The woman, who is a Delhi based journalist, shared her ordeal o Twitter and asked the company to take immediate action against the driver.
The woman although said in one of her tweets that she was with her husband when the incident took place, she asked Uber to act upon the complain, after tagging Delhi Police.

Don't hesitate in filing a police complaint. @Uber_Support Do you not verify drivers' credentials before hiring? @Uppolice and @uptrafficpolice also need to look into the matter, since the car has no. plate of UP
The woman said in the tweet, “Rude and creepy driver. I demand action. First he refused to turn on the air conditioner, then says garmi lag rahi hai to aage mere godi me baith jao [If you are feeling hot then come and sit on my lap]. He also ended the trip, moments after starting to drive and forced me out. This is when I was with husband.”
In a response over the incident, the Uber tweeted, “We're so sorry to hear about this. Our team has recently responded via email. Please reply there if you have additional questions.”
Twitterati responded vehemently to the incident and one of the user tweeted, “This is serious. No response from @DelhiPolice @DelhiTrafficPol? Don't hesitate in filing a police complaint. @Uber_Support Do you not verify drivers' credentials before hiring? @Uppolice and @uptrafficpolice also need to look into the matter, since the car has no. plate of UP.”
