In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old dentist, Dr Pankaj Narang, was beaten to death on 24 March in Vikaspuri.

DCP (West) Pushpendra Kumar said that the incident occurred late on 24 March. Narang and his son were playing cricket at the night when the ball hit the bikers who were passing by.

The men abandoned the bike on the spot and fled, only to return to the spot later, with 13 others. The mob then allegedly attacked Dr Narang with sticks and rods at his residence, where he lived with his wife and son.

The dentist was immediately rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries - including a deep wound to his skull.

Four of the 15 accused are juveniles. Police has registered a case under charges of murder, attempt to murder, trespassing and rioting.
