Delhi police have successfully traced the stolen blue Wagon R car of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The car was stolen from outside the government's headquarters in the capital. Blue Wagon R was parked outside the Delhi Secretariat when the car went missing around 1 am.

Kejriwal's car was traced near Ghaziabad's Mohan Nagar. "A car of the same make colour and model has been traced in Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad. We are verifying the engine and chassis number," said a Delhi Police official.

"A Delhi numbered Blue wagon R has been recovered from Mohan Nagar in PS Sahibabad. We are contacting control room in Delhi for verification," the Ghaziabad Police said.

Delhi CM's car was synonymous with his 'common man' image. Arvind's car was used by Aam Aadmi Party's media cell before it was stolen.

Earlier in the year 2013, a software engineer named Kundan Sharma had gifted the car to Arvind Kejriwal.

In the year 2015, Arvind's car had made the headline in national media when a supporter of Arvind Kejriwal's party Kundan Sharma, who had donated the car to Delhi CM start demanding to return the car.

The blue Wagon R was really close to Kejriwal as the car had played a very significant role during his first election for winning Delhi.

The car had also created a buzz in media when Kejriwal used the Blue Wagon R while protesting against Delhi Police in the year 2014.
