Court appointed mediator Sri Sri Ravishankar reveals goal for solving Ayodhya matter

After Supreme Court held that mediation must be brought in to solve the Ayodhya issue, in its decision over Ram Janambhoomi-Babri masjid dispute and now, one of the mediator Sri Sri Ravishankar has revealed his goals.

While the apex court appointed three mediators for the issue which is to be heard in Faizabad, Sr Sri Ravishankar in a tweet has said, “This move towards mediation by the Hon Supreme Court is in the best interest of the country and all parties concerned. We should not leave any stone unturned in resolving this burning issue amicably.”


Sri Sri also said that the court’s order must be respected and followed while stating that egos and differences must be kept aside. “We should keep our egos and differences aside and come together with a spirit of honouring and accommodating the sentiments of the communities concerned.”

In revealing the goal to solve the Ayodhya crisis, Sri Sri said in another tweet, “Respecting everyone, turning dreams to reality, ending long-standing conflicts happily and maintaining harmony in society - we must all move together towards these goals.”

Two other mediators appointed by the court are, Justice FM Kalifulla and senior advocate Sriram Panchu.

Justice Kalifulla has said over the matter that “I understand the Supreme Court has appointed a mediation committee headed by me. I'm yet to receive the order copy. I can say if a committee has been constituted we'll make every effort to resolve the issue amicably.”
