'Congress-(JDS) vote bank in Bagalkot or Balakot?' PM Modi jabs Opposition in Karnataka
As the election in 14 seats of Karnataka was held on Thursday, PM Narendra Modi rallied in the state and reminded the voters that the Congress party wants to install a “helpless” Prime Minister and requested the voters to elect a strong government at the Centre.
While addressing two rallies in North Karnataka and completing his final stand of campaigning, PM Narendra Modi took upon the Opposition and mocked the “never ending drama” between the Congress and JDS as Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has been at the loggerheads with the alliance partner.
“If you want to see majboot sarkar (strong government) look towards Delhi, and if you want to see majboor (helpless) government look towards Bengaluru,” said PM Modi. Karnataka holds 27 seats in its pocket and 14 seats have polled yesterday. The BJP won 17 in 2014 Lok Sabha election. In the Assembly election, the BJP had won 105 seats but it fell seven short of the majority and the Congress-JDS had forged an electoral alliance to form the government.

“Now the new scene is before you, with 2014's majboot government today we are able to kill terrorists by entering Pakistan and Pakistan is weeping in front of the world. Today we can hear only voice from Pakistan across the world crying bachao bachao bachao (help help help ), Modi Maarta hai (Modi will kill),” elaborated PM Modi.
For the BJP, the gates to the South opens with Karnataka as it holds a major chunk in its grasp and the Congress-JDS alliance is eying big in the polls but a divided Opposition and a united NDA, could garner more seats for the ruling dispensation and eventually return to power at the Centre.
