Hours after China blocked India’s bid to blacklist Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist in UN Security Council meeting, Congress President Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called him ‘weak’. BJP government had said that their foreign policy has been a series of "diplomatic disasters".

A veto-wielding member of the UN Security Council, China has blocked India’s bid for the fourth time in a decade. India expressed its ‘dissapointed’ over China blocking the move. Attacking PM Modi over the same, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter, and said, "Weak Modi is scared of Xi. Not a word comes out of his mouth when China acts against India."

"NaMo's China Diplomacy: Swing with Xi in Gujarat, Hug Xi in Delhi, Bow to Xi in China," Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter.

China on Wednesday blocked India's proposal to designate Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a "global terrorist" by the UN Security Council 1267 list by placing a "technical hold" on it. China is a veto-wielding (permanent) member of the UN Security Council.

In response, India said that it is 'disappointed' by the outcome but stopped short of naming China.

Amid India-Pakistan tension, Pulwama terror attack, the proposal to designate Azhar under the 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee of the UN Security Council was moved by France, UK and the US on February 27.

According to Government sources, more than 10 countries had supported India's bid to designate JeM Chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist in the United Nations Security Council 1267 list, as co-sponsors.
