Canada High Commissioner attends President Kovind's swearing in ceremony
High Commissioner for Canada to India Nadir Patel attended the swearing-in ceremony of India's 14th President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Following the event, High Commissioner Patel said:"On the historic occasion of the Assumption of Office of the 14th President of India, I extend Canada's heartfelt congratulations and warmest greetings to The Honourable Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President of India.
Canada and India share a longstanding and diverse bilateral relationship deep rooted in shared values of democracy, peaceful pluralism, and the rule of law, and based on expanding economic engagement and people-to-people ties.
We look forward to further deepening this relationship in the years to come and working together for the progress and prosperity of the citizens of both our nations."
