Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abdul Mannan has warned the electorate in West Bengal's Birbhum district that his party will not "tolerate" those who do not vote for them in the ongoing assembly elections.

Addressing an election rally on 15 April, Mannan urged the people to vote for him, saying the party would take care of the electorate for the rest of the year.

"Cast your votes in a peaceful manner. Cast with so many votes that we can understand that you have for voted us. I will take care of you for the entire year. But I won't tolerate it if you don't repay this during the election. We will never tolerate this," Mannan warned.

"We provide all facilities and don't get anything in return. That won't happen. We are trying to get 800-850 votes. You all have to vote for us." he added.

On 17 April, voters will cast their votes for 65 seats in West Bengal during the second phase of polling for the Assembly Elections.

Voting will be held in Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, Malda and Birbhum districts to decide the fate 383 candidates.
