The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 31 August asserted that action will be taken on the illegal grant of licences for Change in Land Use (CLU) as per the report filled by Retired Justice SN Dhingra-led inquiry commission.

"On the basis of evidence provided by him (Justice SN Dhingra), further action will be taken. The reports that will be submitted by him will have facts on which it will be decided whether an investigation will be carried out or not. The Law will take its course, if something will be highlighted in the report filled by Justice Dhingra," Bjpspokesperson Jawahar Yadav told ANI.

He assured that the innocent will not be punished and action will be taken as per law.

When asked about the involvement of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra in this case, Yadav said, "We can't say who the culprits are and who has committed the crime. The Chief Minister has assigned this responsibility to Justice Dhingra to get information on it. If there will be anything in the report then it will certainly be worked out. If there won't be anything then there is no issue."

The Justice SN Dhingra-led commission, which is probing the CLU case in four villages of Gurgaon, including the licence granted to a company (Sky Light Hospitality Private Limited ) owned by Vadra, will today submit its report to the Haryana Government.

The single-member Commission has already got three extensions since it was set up in May 2015.

The commission had the mandate to probe the circumstances of the grant or rejection of the licences for the development of colonies, group housing societies and commercial complexes in those sectors of Gurgaon for which lands in the areas of Shikohpur, Sikanderpur, Badah and Kherki Dhaula were used.

It has also probed whether the transfer of licence by the original licencee within a short period of time was in violation of the law and caused a loss of revenue to the state government.

Vadra has been accused of transferring his licence to DLF in violation of the law and causing a huge loss to revenue.
