Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has no moral right to talk about murder of democracy as he had brought Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLAs to the Congress through suspicious means, BJP state president Satish Poonia stated on Wednesday.

Talking to India Today, BJP state president stated, "It is ridiculous that Ashok Gehlot talks about murder of democracy. It is the same party that ran the government twice by giving shock to the Bahujan Samaj Party."

"It was constitutionally wrong when they merged the national party in this manner and it would have also involved some deal. Today, when he talks about morality, it sounds extremely ridiculous,” Poonia added.

Satish Poonia made comments hitting back at Ashok Gehlot for accusing the BJP of indulging in horse-trading in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The BJP state president stated that Jyotiraditya Scindia opted to leave the Congress party because he was not being heard. "Congress did not change itself with era. Majority of people in the country are against the ideology. It is leaderless, directionless and issueless and in such a party, when people search for their future, they feel insecure," Poonia said.

Poonia further stated that the situation in Rajasthan is worse than Madhya Pradesh. "A division is clearly visible," he said.

When asked if Sachin Pilot will be welcomed if he approaches the BJP, Poonia stated, "We will not try from our side. Naturally, if there is any such opportunity, then it is a thing of the future. But as the situation is, it will be assessed and decision will be taken."
