BJP President Amit Shah met Union Ministers to chalk out a strategy to counter Opposition's attack ahead of the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad were among those who met Shah.

Meeting with Raje and Chouhan

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, who is embroiled in a controversy over links with former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi, also met Shah against the backdrop of persistent opposition demands for her ouster.

The meeting assumes significance as BJP is bracing for an onslaught by opposition parties in Parliament during the Monsoon session beginning on Tuesday over her.

Raje is understood to have presented her version of her dealings with Lalit Modi, who is facing ED probe in connection with IPL tournament of 2009.

Opposition parties, led by Congress, have been aggressively demanding Raje's ouster and have threatened to rake up the issue in Parliament.

Shah also met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who has been grappling with Vyapam scam and demands of resignation from the Opposition. Chouhan will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi later in the day.
