BJP turns 36: PM Modi congratulates party members on foundation day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on 6 April, congratulated all the party workers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the party's foundation day. It was on this day in 1980 that the BJP was formed as a separate party.

In a series of tweets, PM Modi saluted the party workers for their dedication and hard work.

State party units will organise functions to mark the occasion and BJP president Amit Shah will address a gathering in New Delhi.
