Bihar: Shame! Woman allegedly paraded 'naked' and thrashed by a mob over suspicion of killing teenager; case yet to be register

In a spine-chilling incident, a woman was brutally thrashed and beaten a mob in Bihar's Bhojpur district. The woman was further allegedly stripped off and paraded naked by an irate mob over suspicion of her being involved in the killing of a 19-year-old man.

The incident took place in Bihar's Bihiya police station area, where the body of Vimalesh Sah, who was missing, was found near a railway track this morning Bhojpur Superintendent of Police Avakash Kumar said.

He said the residents of Vimalesh Sah's native village Damodarpur rushed to the spot after they came to know about his death. Some of them suspected that those people living in a red-light area nearby would have strangled the youth to death.
The villagers barged the place, setting up numbers of shops on a fire, beating up several people. They dragged out a woman on the street, ripped off her clothes and paraded her naked while kicking and slapping her, the SP said.

Not only this, the angry mob also hurled stones at a train passing through the area. The police had to fire in the air to disperse the mob, the SP said, adding, a few rounds were also fired by the villagers.

A heavy deployment of police personnel has been made in the area, the SP said. He also added that a case would be registered and arrests would be made soon.

SP Avkash Kumar has suspended Kunwar Gupta, SHO Bihiya in this connection.
