A teenager was found dead in Bihar's Jehanabad district on Wednesday with his head crushed. The police have arrested two people in the case.
The 15-year-old boy, the son of a mill owner in the adjoining Nalanda district, went missing three days ago, on Sunday. The teen had gone out in the evening to play cricket.
Initial reports suggested that the boy was kidnapped by men known to him, and the family received a ransom call of Rs 50 lakh. However, the victim's family has denied this.
According to the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Patna, three people were involved in the crime. While two have been nabbed, one of the accused is still at large.
"Three people were involved in the kidnapping, 2 have been arrested, one is absconding. The boy was killed on the first day itself. Unfortunate that we couldn't save him," he said.
