The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has called for a complete shutdown of the Shivajinagar Assembly constituency in Bengaluru demanding justice for the slain party leader, Rudresh R, who was brutally killed on 16 October morning.
The 42-year-old Rudresh, an RSS and BJP leader, was hacked to death in public view by two motorcycle-borne assailants at Kamraj Road, in the heart of the city on 16 October.

"We have called for Shivajinagar Bandh on Monday and we will stage a protest near the Shivajinagar Bus Stand, seeking justice for the murder," Sridhar KS, general secretary of RSS, Bengaluru was quoted by The TOI.
According to the report, Rudresh was targeted for his affiliation with the BJP and RSS.
BJP state president BS Yedyurappa said that the impunity with which the crime was committed shows the law and order situation in Bengaluru.
Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code has been imposed at four police limits on 17 October- Shivajinagar, Frazer Town, Commercial Street and Bharathi Nagar.
Rudresh, was the mandal president of the RSS Shivajinagar Shakha and also the secretary of the BJP unit in Shivajinagar.
The incident took place when two men on a motorcycle shot him while Rudresh was talking to three of his friends at Kamraj Road.
Rudresh was immediately taken to hospital, but was declared brought dead.
As the news spread about the incident RSS activists staged a protest outside the Commercial Street police station leading to heavy traffic jams.
